A jury is set Tuesday to resume deliberations in the trial of a former San Diego police officer accused of demanding sexual favors from women after traffic stops.
Anthony Arevalos, 41, who spent 18 years with the Police Department, is accused of 17 felony counts involving seven women.
He was fired in March after the allegations surfaced.
In most cases, Arevalos allegedly stopped the women in the downtown Gaslamp District for drunk driving and demanded they disrobe or submit to touching in exchange for not receiving a ticket.
Monday was the San Diego County Superior Court jury's first full day of deliberations. Arevalos, who did not testify, faces a maximum 19 years in prison if convicted on all counts, prosecutors said.
